Sean, SD> The insects don't bother me too much. As for tghe weather, SD> that's the first thing I check. That's why I like going in the SD> fall: less severe weather (at least up here). I don't normally SD> camp near water unless it's along one of the many lakes that SD> the TVA created. The campgrounds ar usually a lot higher than SD> the water. I was never much of a camper. When I was updating the Ham Radio Humor file (off of the hyperlink on my QRZ bio), I came across one where the guy is saying "My SWR is all over the place. I better go outside, and see what's going on". The truth is, there's one bear climbing the tower, and another waiting for him...never mind that propagation is a bear <G>. Another one has the XYL converting her OM's antenna into a clothesline for her laundry. I guess propagation has washed out the bands. <G> SD> It's good to see you in Micronet again. It's good to be back full time with BBSing, but after all the crap in my life a year ago, I just had to have a break. At least I didn't take a break from amateur radio. 73, Daryl, N5VLZ ... Some days, I'm as confused as a baby in a topless bar. === MultiMail/Win v0.52 --- SBBSecho 3.29-Win32 * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - Little Rock, Arkansas (618:250/33) |
