If it were to have a single PVC in among its beats, pretty sure I'd not know. If you get a bunch in a row, it feels like a flutter in your chest. For me, yes, that apparently is what caused it to happen enough to be noticable. For others, it could be caused by other things. If someone was having them and regularly noticing them, they should probably talk to their doctor about it, especially if they have a history (their own, or family) of heart issues. They had me wear a 24hr heart monitor, which lead to the diagnosis (i.e. that I have PVCs more often than what is considered normal, but not often enough to be worried about or medicated for).
