Yes, and it is surprising how what seem a little distance can make
a big difference. I have friends that live only 250 miles or so
South of me, and they will have totally different climate than
I get. It will be noticably warmer, often 10 or 12F degrees, and
that's enough that often they a few inches of snow and most of it
doesn't stick around more than a few days while I'll get a couple
feet of it here, and it's not going anywhere before spring..

Of course with the Climate instability these days you never know
what you're going to end up with..

Supposedly a Super El Nino this winter which should give us a
much warmer winter than usual. Last winter was unusually cold
and snowy for recent years so it may be quite a change..
