So.. no type of vapour or insulation barrier except for the  
logs themselves?   Don't logs usually get chinked to close the  
gaps?

I've only ever been inside two log homes. They had no other  
wall insulation other than the logs themselves. I thought that  
was kinda neat.  But they *were* rather large logs.
