I just found a file explorer for Android that can talk to Windows shares 
over a LAN. This could change the landscape for me; no more having to copy 
files over to my phone, I could get my home VPN working and VPN in for media 
and files on my phone and not worry about local disk space again...

If that all works, I'd have no reason to carry a laptop with me.
