Time to post your goals for the week of 7/22/95. Be sure to post
progress from last week as well. If you are a Writer's Workshop lurker, come
and join us in posting our goals for the week. You will be glad uou did!
Post weekly goals! Give it a try, just once. I promise it will really
help keep you on track with your current projects. Send out the GOAL POST
every week by Saturday. Make it a habit to start posting your goals with
us.
My goals for last week and progress report...
1. Continue to seek out freelance assignments.
     Still looking...
2. Finish up the August issue and get it to the printer.
It's finished. Will take it to the printer today.
3. Go look at the publicity photo proofs for the photo I had taken
     yesterday.
Managed to get a good one. Considering the object anyway. ;-)'
4. Clean off my desk!
I actually did this but you would never know it! It's right back where
it was when I posted the goal.
5. Write at least one new article.
I did this too! I wrote an article for WWR and ended up rewriting it to
submit to Writer's Digest. Sent it out already.
My goals for this week are to....
1. Keep hunting for more freelance markets.
2. Locate SOMEONE who can do cover art for WWR.
3. Take care of some business matters.
4. Attend the potluck for Southwest Washington Writers
     On a personal note:
I've had a fairly uneventful and largely unproductive week. I did get a
few things done but I'm never happy unless I'm kept very busy.
I think at one point I said I wouldn't submit anything to Writer's Digest
again but for some reason I don't feel complete unless they reject me a couple
of times a year. ;-) At least I submitted something this week even if the
odds are against me.
For the past week, I've felt a lot of stress and it's gotten to the point
where I'm feeling almost giddy. I think it's time to write some humor. ;-)
I guess because laughing is a relaxing sort of thing. I need a good laugh.
Traffic has been painfully slow here, I know. I hope you are all hanging
in there until things get back to normal.
                          Rhia
               Have a great writing week!

                      WRITER'S WORKSHOP PRAYER
The Writer's Workshop is a place where myself and several other
writers of vastly different backgrounds in writing, hope to come to
discuss the ins and outs of the writing business. This is a place we
hope will become home to writers who take what they do seriously, be
they beginners or seasoned professionals; people who want to learn and
share with others.
We encourage everyone to share the rejections and of course the
highlights, so that we can celebrate with you. This should be a place of
sharing and a place of laughter, NOT A PLACE TO SHOW OFF OR CONDEMN!
Everyone is welcome to share their views, but PLEASE, NO PUBLIC BASHING!
(Use E-mail for that. <G>
