However, the left is trying to actively erase it by destroying statutes,
renaming military bases, changing laws, et cetera to hide their past.  After
all, the KKK was founded by white Baptists.  Planned Parenthood was founded
by a white woman who hated blacks.  Hitler got his idea for "the final
solution" from 1930s American progressives pushing eugenics.

I could go on but you get the idea.

It's said history is written by the victors.
