As do I, and I remember when CNN Headline News channel was just that... the
news and no "shows."

NA> And from what I remember... all of that professionalism went straight
NA> out the freakin' window around the time of the OJ Simpson trial.

That is probably about right.

NA> It was interesting that shows like Hard Copy and A Current Affair were

 NA> chose to become them.

Compared to what some news outlets are these days, those two shows seem
almost non-sensationalist in comparison.

NA> I like Fox News for being that "alternative viewpoint" but sometimes

I feel like they also go off the rails.

PBS Newshour is not conservative, but they usually keep it professional.
On occassion, they get a substitute anchor on the show and it feels more
like CNN or a commercial network newscast, but they are usually pretty
professional.

NA> "The Sun" chain of newspapers in Canada could be considered
NA> conservative; and plans were in place for them to start their own news
NA> channel. The Canadian equivalent of the FCC, the CRTC, of which major
NA> liberal media are members, quickly veto'd the decision by stating that
NA> "Canada does not need a Fox News North".

NA> Unfortunately Canada does not have free speech or choice in news
 NA> outlets.

That is not good. It is almost to that point here also.

Mike
