half.... when I restarted, I tried going through the passages, and I was able
to get away faster... I found the little cross necklace... but I still need
the book and some stone, don't I, if I want to capture the demon
?  where do i go to find that?

Run thru the passages and you'll jump over a chasm and down some stairs thru
a door which you will bolt behind you to give you time.. the book?? You
should get that there at the altar.... and you have all else...
