   Europe forecast - February 13, 2025
   Unsettled Adriatic Sea
   Fine west and north

   Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 13th February 2025
   Duty forecaster: Dan Graves

   A low pressure system over the Adriatic sea brings frequent heavy
   showers here. Most other areas will be fine, some snow spells in the
   northeast.

   Thursday
   Showers in northwest Portugal and Spain, drier to the east though
   mostly cloudy. Scattered showers in the morning over the Balearic
   Islands, soon clearing. Showers linger further east of here on Italy's
   west coast for much of the day. Showers widely, some heavy, along the
   Balkan coast as well southward to Greece. Showers quite persistent and
   heavy in southwest Greece. Fair Aegean and west T├╝rkiye, mostly sunny
   here.
   Showery rain across central and south France. Rain arrives into the
   west coast near dusk. Fair in the Low Countries with a few drizzly
   spots. Rain and snow extends east-to-west across the Alps in
   Switzerland, southern Germany, and Austria This precipitation band
   extends through the Alps with snow in Switzerland and Austria. Snow
   into east Germany, Czechia, and west Poland as well. Drier eastern
   Europe and sun for some in Belarus and Ukraine. Some snowy spells south
   of here in Romania, Hungary, and Albania.
   Rain and risk of gales into Ireland in the evening, more settled
   Britain. Remaining breezy in Denmark and along the Baltic coasts. Some
   snow into Latvia and Estonia, fine and perhaps sunny in Lithuania.
   Mostly dry with sun spells in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.

   Friday
   A sunnier day in Iberia, though clouds and some showers still possible
   west. Sunny and settled across the Mediterranean towards Italy. Quite
   unsettled across Italy and the north Adriatic sea with persistent
   showers. Snow into Slovenia, Croatia, and west Hungary. Some heavy
   showers persist southward along the coast with a few breaking away and
   heading inland. Some showers reaching into the Aegean as well, T├╝rkiye
   staying fine.
   Morning rains in west France soon clear for a fine mostly sunny day.
   Also dry but cloudy into the Low Countries and Germany, some isolated
   snow here and southward into the Alps. Poland and Czechia mostly dry as
   well. Snow into Belarus and north Ukraine, mostly dry south of there.
   A fine day with sun spells in Denmark and southern Sweden and Norway.
   Snow approaches Norway's west coast in the later hours. Cloudy but fine
   in Finland. Some patchy snow possible in the Baltics, though some sun
   breaks possible here as well.
