   Mostly dry
   Increasingly hot

   Issued: 0530hrs Monday 11th August 2025
   Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

   Showery rain locally in Scandinavia

   Monday
High pressure generally influences Europe. A few showers in northeast
Spain although for most areas of Spain and Portugal it stays dry and
sunny. More sunshine for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Italy,
Greece and Turkiye will be likewise hot and sunny.
Scattered showers for the far south of France but generally dry and
sunny throughout France, the Low Countries, Germany and Poland. Further
sunshine and dry weather in Hungary, Austria and most of Switzerland
although a few afternoon showers in the mountains.
Denmark should be fine and dry with sunshine. Staying fair for the
Baltic States with some breeze. Showery rain in western Norway, drier
eastwards. Broken cloud and sunny spells in Sweden. Showers in northern
   Finland, some heavy.

   Tuesday
High pressure centred over east-central Europe draws hot air into the
heart of the continent. Localised afternoon showers develop for eastern
Spain and over the Pyrenees, otherwise Spain and Portugal will be hot
and dry. Largely fine over the Mediterranean and Italy, though isolated
afternoon showers are possible inland. Greece and Turkiye will be dry
   and sunny.
Isolated showers by afternoon for southern France and the Alps,
otherwise a broad zone of dry, sunny and hot weather through central
and northern Europe, from France to the Low Countries, Germany and
Poland. Odd showers may form in Romania.
Showery in northern Norway and areas of showers for Finland too, some
heavy. Much of Sweden and Denmark stays dry. Some further patchy rain
   into southwest Norway later.
