Days 1-3...

Mountain snows continue for the Northwest U.S. through midweek 
with shortwave troughs impacting the region today followed by a 
slow moving low dropping from southern BC to western Washington 
tonight through Thursday. Cascades snow levels currently around 
5000ft tonight, drop to around 4000ft tonight, then lower to 3000ft
in Washington on Wednesday under the upper low. WPC snow probs for
>6" are 50-80% on the Washington Cascades and 30-60% for the 
highest Oregon Cascades for both Days 1 and 2. 

Meanwhile, periods of mountain snow will continue over northwestern
Montana and northern Idaho terrain through Wednesday night with 
5000ft snow levels lingering through tonight before dipping to 
4000ft Wednesday. Day 1 and 2 WPC snow probs for >6" are 30-70% for
terrain north from the Bitterroots.

The slow moving low drifts off the WA coast Thursday with precip
rates tapering off for much of the Northwest.


The probability of significant ice across the CONUS is less than 
10 percent.
