VIRC32 Configuration: General

This window contains the VIRC32 server settings.

  • Start Node - The first node, in a range, to have IRC access. Default = 0
  • End Node - The last node, in a range, to have IRC access. Default = 10
  • Command Character - Normally IRC clients use the "/" character to specify a direct command to the server. VADV's teleconference already uses this character so another one must be used. Default = +
  • Maximum Log Size - You can control how large the VIRC32 log file will become before it is reset. This value is in bytes. Default = 1048576 (10MB)
VIRC32 Configuration: Miscellaneous

  • Maintain Statistical Information - If enabled, VIRC32 will save its statistics when it closes and remember them when reloaded. Default = On.
  • Minimize if Closed - If enabled then when you press the "X" to close the window, it will only minimize it instead of terminating the application. Default = Off
  • Minimize to Tray - You can minimize VIRC32 to the system tray by enabling this option. This saves space on the taskbar and also allows you to right click the tray icon for quick options. Default = On
  • Save Daily Log - If enabled, VIRC32 will remember the daily log and restore it when VIRC32 is loaded. Default = On
  • Save Window Position on Exit - If enabled, the window coordinates will be saved when VADV32 is exited. When VIRC32 is loaded, it will use these coordinates to position the window. If disabled, then the window will always be centered on the screen when loaded. Default = On
